mademan design provides comprehensive architecture services from conceptual design to construction administration. Tailored to meet individual client goals, we have developed a phased design approach that ensures we produce the best architecture for the price. We’re intentionally a small company because we believe that direct communication between client and designer results in the most successful projects.

Beginning with an introductory meeting to establish scope of work, schedule, and budget, we’ll provide a proposal to ensure that fees and deliverables are clear, eliminating the stress of unknown costs. Typically, the design process begins with an initial ‘schematic’ phase, including project background, code research, sketch plans, and massing models, before proceeding with the ‘design development’ phase, when the CAD drawings, renderings, structural engineering, material specifications, lighting design, and MEP coordination occurs. The final ‘construction drawings’, or CD’s, provide all the necessary information required for the building permit application, bidding, and construction. We stay involved throughout the build, responding to contractors’ requests for information, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting on-site construction administration to ensure the project is executed in accordance with the plans.

With more than 15 years of commercial construction experience we’ve built everything from custom modular homes to handheld wooden fly boxes. No matter the scale, we treat each project with the same attention to detail and commitment to process. Our in-house workshop allows us to test ideas and experiment with details until we’re confident in the work. We care about getting it right.

As trained architects we know the routine…we can provide design, 3d modeling, CAD/Revit details, shop drawings, mock-ups, and material samples. We can act as consultants on custom installations, tackle whole portions of a project, or simply price and build pre-designed pieces. Our range of expertise means we can be a single source of support through design, fabrication, and installation of almost any tricky, fussy, or crazy ideas.
