From the very beginning mademan was building stuff. In the early days we’d do anything from apartment renovations to deck construction, working shoulder to shoulder with experienced craftspeople and soaking up invaluable construction knowledge.

Eventually we found our interests, skills, and professional advantages laid in custom fabrication. Our in-house workshop and extensive relationships with local machinists, woodworkers, upholsterers, glazers, and finishers allow us to be a single resource capable of providing unique mixed-material pieces, tailored to any condition. Fabrication is an integral facet of mademan. We believe good design begins with the understanding of quality construction.
