dryfork

The residence at Dry Fork is all about the land. Situated on a 3.5 acre undeveloped lot at the end of a dry creek valley, the surroundings are peaceful and pristine. The architecture is meant to complement and frame the landscape.

The façade materials of cedar and steel were chosen to naturally weather over time so to change and adapt with the seasons.  The building is pushed up onto the base of the hill, allowing longer views and to leave the valley untouched.

At 3500sf, the owner who is a professional electrician, opted to self-perform the construction to keep costs down to about $125sf.
